2008 –  After months of bid negotiations and Yahoo’s Jerry Yang saying “No”, Microsoft decided to take their $50 billion dollar offer off the table. Although Microsoft pulled the offer, it was not the last time we would hear about it. Carl Icahn would lead a charge to try and re-instate selling or have Yang off the Yahoo board. On February 1st, 2008, Microsoft offered $45 billion ($31 / share) to purchase Yahoo! 1963 – St. Louis Missouri began construction of the Gateway arch. The arch was completed on October 28, 1965 and inaugurated on May 25, 1968. The Gateway arch is a memorial for the people who made possible the western territorial expansion of the US. May the Fourth be with you. 1998 – My first attempt at a website back then was self publishing comics. I started with a website I called “Toonzed“. Other website were popping up. GPF, College Roomies from Hell, Penny Arcade. One of those website was called Player vs Player (PvP). Still going strong today, they have made some pretty funny comics. 2001– Jan de Wit – a.k.a. “OnTheFly” sends out an email stating that it is a picture of the famous tennis player. Of course it turned out to be a a Worm that takes down tens of thousands of computers. Most companies will shut off their email to the world just to prevent from getting it. De Wit would then be arrested two days later and sentenced to 150 hours community service.
