1993 – Collabra Software Inc was Incorporated by Eric Hahn. Collabra was short for “Collabrative” and developed and marketed computing applications that allowed for information sharing. Collabra Share was their flagship software which created group conferencing to email. The company coined the term “groupware”.
The company was acquired by Netscape on November 9, 1995 which Collabra Server was ultimately used in Netscape Navigator browser. Hahn eventually became CTO of Netscape, but left to co-found Lookout Software, which was acquired by Microsoft. Hahn also had cc:Mail, which was acquired by Lotus 1-2-3.

May 22, 1980: Pac Man was installed in a movie theater in Tokyo.
1980 – The first Pac-Man machine was installed. Namco installed the first Pac-Man machine in a movie theater in Tokyo. Created by Toru Iwatani, the game has been one of the most popular in Arcades around the world. Of course, Pac-Man was one of the most popular games in history and created many spin-offs including Ms. Pac-Man. Pac-Man was released in North America October of that year.

March 3rd, 1982 K.C. Munchkin was deemed too much like Pac-Man
1982 – a popular game for the Odyssey2 system was called K.C. Munchkin. However, this game looked a little too much like Pac-Man. A Federal court in Chicago, IL. agreed. They ordered Philips Consumer Electronics to take the game off store shelves. A sequal was released called Crazy Chase, which was a game that mocked the legal battle of the Pac-Mac – K.C. Munchkin. Of course that game was very close to Centipede, which could have caused a new legal issue altogether.

1995 – After 15 million lines and 3 years of programming,Microsoft announces Windows 95 (a.k.a. Chicago) was deemed “Golden“.That meant Microsoft could not make any more fixes or adjustments would be made until it’s release on August 24th. Of course, Microsoft Windows 95 was their first 32-bit operating system and considered a major game changer in the world of computers.

2011 – The US waited for this Swedish music streaming service, and on this day, we got it. Founded in 2006, Spotify announced after exhaustive negotiation with four major US record labels, they were given the green light to launch. It came with much praise from the online community. Since then, Spotify was integrated with Facebook, and launched their own apps and app finder.
