November 21, 2008: Justin.TV Online Suicide of Abraham Biggs

2008 – Some watched in horror. Others watched thinking it was a joke. Still, Abraham Biggs was a troubled teen. He decided to end it all and do it in front of a live audience. He got on Justin.tv and told people he was taking sleeping pills. After a little while, he went to lie on his bed while the chat room continued on. Some posts encouraging him to continue were seen. July 21, 1925: John Scopes Guilty on Teaching Evolution

John Scopes was an activist and a teacher. In what was called the “Scopes Monkey Trial“, John was charged on May 5th, 1925 of teaching evolution in his Tennessee classroom. On July 21 he was found guilty and fined $100. The central argument in the case was the Butler Act, prohibiting that human evolution, or any Biblical account of origin could be taught.Scopes verdict was overturned, but only because of a technicality.
